Oli accuses government of conspiring against him

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has alleged that the current government is plotting further conspiracies against him.

Inspecting his fire-damaged residence in Balkot on Wednesday, which was attacked during the Gen-Z protests, Oli said he suspects the Home Minister holds a personal grudge against him and is preparing additional plans targeting him.

Referring to the Home Minister’s recent interview, Oli remarked that “the government’s intention and direction have become clear.” He stated that the UML would not be distracted by what he called the “spectacle” of a suddenly formed government and reaffirmed his party’s commitment to restoring peace, order, and controlling corruption in the country.

Oli also claimed that destructive elements had conspired against the nation under the name of the Gen-Z movement. He accused the government of failing to take action against those involved in arson at government offices, public properties, and private homes.

The UML chair further said that during the Gen-Z protests, his residence was vandalized and set on fire, with several valuable items looted.
