Six students injured in college van accident



BAGLUNG: Six people were injured when a van carrying college students met with an accident near Shivalaya Temple at Galkot Municipality-5 in Baglung district on Thursday morning.

According to the Area Police Office, Galkot, the injured have been identified as Sushmita BK (18), Pramila BK (18), Mohan Singh Sunar (25), Jivan Khattri (19), Amisha Chettri (19), and Sunita Sapkota (18).

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police Man Bahadur Karki said the van (registration number Ga 1 Jha 743) was en route to Hatiya from Harichaur when the accident occurred. The vehicle is owned by Galkot Multiple Campus.

All injured individuals are receiving treatment at Galkot Municipal Hospital. Preliminary investigations indicate that the accident was caused by overspeeding.
