Pedestrian dies after being hit by vehicle



CHITWAN: A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle in Chitwan. The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Ram Avtar of Birgunj Metropolitan City-1, Parsa.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Rabindra Khanal at the District Police Office, Chitwan, a Bolero (Na 3 Cha 6610) traveling east to west hit Avtar at Shahichowk, Khairhani Municipality-1, last night.

He sustained serious injuries and died during treatment at Old Medical College later that night. The vehicle and its driver are currently in police custody.
