Madhav Thapa Risky Photojournalism Award presented to Prabin Kulung Rai



KATHMANDU: The Madhav Thapa Risky Photojournalism Award, established by former Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Force, Madhav Thapa, has been presented to photojournalist Prabin Kulung Rai this year.

The award was conferred during the 28th General Assembly of the National Forum of  Photojournalists (NFPJ) Nepal, held on Sunday at the Assembly Hall of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naxal.

The chief guest of the programme, Naradamani Hartamchhali, Chancellor of the Academy of Fine Arts, along with Pradeepraj Vanta, President of the National Forum of  Photojournalists (NFPJ) Nepal, presented Rai with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

Rai currently serves as the central secretary of NFPJ Nepal and works as a photojournalist at NayaPage.com.

The programme was attended by former NFPJ presidents Kavindra Man Shakya, Rajbhai Suwal, and Rajendra Chitrakar, as well as central office bearers, life members, and other members of the organisation.
