UML holds youth rally ahead of National Volunteer Force launch



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML on Thursday announced the formation of the National Volunteer Force (NVF) to safeguard party policies and leadership.

Ahead of the formal declaration, UML-affiliated youth held a rally led by Madhesh Basnet and Youth Union president Kshitij Thebe. The official announcement of the force is scheduled at Karki Banquet, Babermahal, where party chairman KP Sharma Oli will unveil the NVF.

The party stated that the formation of the NVF aims to address growing insecurity and unrest in society and to boost public morale following the incidents of September 8 and 9.
