Journalist Jagdish Kharel recommended as Minister for Communications



KATHMANDU: Journalist Jagdish Kharel has been appointed as the Minister for Communications and Information Technology. Prime Minister Sushila Karki appointed him on Sunday evening.

Kharel has over 25 years of experience in the media sector. His extensive journalism background was cited as the reason for entrusting him with the communications portfolio.

Kharel is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy on Monday at a ceremony at the President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas.
