Nepal Rastra Bank updates foreign exchange rates for Saturday



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has released the official foreign currency exchange rates for today, Saturday.

According to the central bank, the value of some foreign currencies, including the US dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, and Bahraini dinar, has decreased. However, currencies such as the Australian dollar, euro, and British pound have shown an increase in value.

Today, the buying rate for one US dollar is NPR 138.24, while the selling rate is NPR 138.84. In comparison, yesterday’s rates were NPR 138.46 for buying and NPR 139.06 for selling.

The euro has appreciated slightly. Today, the buying rate for one euro is NPR 159.20 and the selling rate is NPR 159.89. Yesterday, the euro’s buying rate was NPR 159.00 and the selling rate was NPR 159.69.

Similarly, the British pound has also strengthened. The buying rate for one pound today is NPR 186.51 and the selling rate is NPR 187.32, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 186.04 and NPR 186.85, respectively.

The Australian dollar has seen a modest rise. Today, its buying rate stands at NPR 89.64 and the selling rate at NPR 90.03. Yesterday, the buying and selling rates were NPR 89.60 and NPR 89.99, respectively.

In contrast, the Kuwaiti dinar has slightly declined. The buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar today is NPR 451.40, while the selling rate is NPR 453.36. Yesterday, these rates were NPR 451.95 and NPR 453.91.

Likewise, the Bahraini dinar has weakened as well. Today’s buying rate is NPR 366.54 and the selling rate is NPR 368.13, compared to yesterday’s rates of NPR 367.07 and NPR 368.66.

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It has also clarified that commercial banks may offer different rates, and the latest updates can be accessed through the central bank’s official website.
