Gold price surges by Rs 5,000 per tola



KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the Nepali market has soared by Rs 5,000 per tola today, following a sharp rise in the international market.

The precious metal, which had remained stable for the past three days, saw a significant jump in value.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold is now set at Rs 189,800 per tola.

Silver has also increased by Rs 50 per tola and is being traded at Rs 1,990 per tola.

International media reports indicate that gold is currently trading at USD 3,321 per ounce in the global market.
