Body of Bipin Joshi being brought to Kathmandu today

KATHMANDU: The body of Bipin Joshi, the Nepali national killed while being held hostage by Hamas, is being brought back to Nepal today.

According to the government, his body is scheduled to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu at 3 PM.

Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation; Physical Infrastructure and Transport; and Urban Development, Kulman Ghising, stated that arrangements have been made to pay tribute to Bipin upon the arrival of his body at the airport.

“I was deeply shocked to hear the news. A promising young Nepali had to fall victim to such inhumane and brutal violence on the international stage. I extend my deepest condolences on his untimely death and express heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family,” said Minister Ghising.

“Even in the face of such tragedy, the extraordinary courage, bravery, and sacrifice Bipin displayed helped save the lives of many others. His heroic act is a lasting legacy that will forever make us proud. He will live on among us as a symbol of Nepali pride.”
