Today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign currency exchange rates for today. As per the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar has been set at NPR 140.47, while the selling rate stands at NPR 141.07.

For the Euro, the buying rate is NPR 163.67 and the selling rate is NPR 164.37. The UK Pound Sterling is being bought at NPR 188.59 and sold at NPR 189.39. The Swiss Franc has a buying rate of NPR 177.13 and a selling rate of NPR 177.88.

The Australian dollar is being bought at NPR 91.26 and sold at NPR 91.65. The Canadian dollar’s buying rate is NPR 100.19 and the selling rate is NPR 100.62. Similarly, one Singapore dollar is being bought at NPR 108.44 and sold at NPR 108.90.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese Yen is NPR 9.33; however, the selling rate was not specified in the announcement. Other exchange rates set by NRB include: Thai Baht at NPR 4.29 (buying) and NPR 4.31 (selling), UAE Dirham at NPR 38.25 and NPR 38.41, Malaysian Ringgit at NPR 33.24 and NPR 33.38, and 100 South Korean Won at NPR 9.88 (buying) and NPR 9.92 (selling).

Similarly, the Swedish Kroner is set at NPR 14.87 for buying and NPR 14.93 for selling, while the Danish Kroner is priced at NPR 21.92 and NPR 22.01, respectively.

One Hong Kong dollar is being traded at NPR 18.08 (buying) and NPR 18.16 (selling). The Kuwaiti Dinar has one of the highest rates, with a buying price of NPR 459.12 and selling price of NPR 461.08. The Bahraini Dinar follows at NPR 372.62 and NPR 374.22. The Omani Riyal is being bought at NPR 364.84 and sold at NPR 366.40.

Additionally, the rate for 100 Indian Rupees has been fixed at NPR 160.15 for selling and NPR 160.00 for buying.

NRB has noted that these rates are subject to revision at any time based on market conditions. It also clarified that exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the most recent rates can be accessed via the official website of the central bank.
