Q&A session with PM Oli postponed

KATHMANDU: The monthly question-and-answer session between the Prime Minister and members of parliament, usually held during the first week in the House of Representatives, will not take place this Wednesday.

A direct Q&A session with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had been scheduled for the House of Representatives’ Wednesday meeting. However, due to health reasons, Prime Minister Oli will not be present to answer questions from lawmakers.

Prior to this update, Speaker Devraj Ghimire had already collected necessary questions from members of parliament.

During the Rules Advisory Committee meeting held at noon on Wednesday, Mahesh Bartaula, Chief Whip of the CPN-UML, informed the committee that the Prime Minister would be unable to attend the parliamentary session.

Citing Bartaula’s briefing, Speaker Ghimire’s press advisor, Shekhar Adhikari, stated, “Due to health reasons, the honorable Prime Minister will not be able to attend today’s parliamentary session for the question-and-answer program.”
