Oli and Bhandari to meet at party office today

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli and former President Bidya Devi Bhandari are scheduled to meet today at the party’s central office in Chyasal at 3 PM.

The meeting comes following suggestions from several Politburo members during a recent two-day Politburo session, where they recommended that Oli and Bhandari hold direct talks to address the controversy surrounding Bhandari’s entry into active politics.

Chairman Oli had expressed his willingness to meet Bhandari in response to these suggestions.

The discussion is expected to finalize Bhandari’s role within the party ahead of the CPN-UML Central Committee meeting scheduled for the 5th. Matters related to her assigned responsibilities and the renewal of her party membership will also be determined based on the outcome of today’s meeting.
