Man run over by vehicle rolling backward



DANG: A 21-year-old man died after being accidentally run over by a parked vehicle that rolled backward in Deukhuri.

Rajesh Kumar Baniya of Sunkholi, Lamahi Municipality-5, was critically injured when a pickup truck (Lu 3 Cha 4814) parked in front of his house moved backward after a support placed under its rear tire was removed, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Shah of the District Police Office.

Baniya was immediately taken to Lamahi Hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
