Boycotted House meeting after being denied a chance to address PM: RSP

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) boycotted Friday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, claiming they were denied the opportunity to present their concerns to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The party, which has been actively raising concerns over the visit visa scandal, said the boycott was a direct response to being ignored and silenced in Parliament. Acting party spokesperson Manish Jha said RSP lawmakers walked out after the prime minister left the chamber without hearing their demands.

“We wanted to convey our concerns to the Prime Minister, but he left without listening. So we left too,” Jha said.
