Unified Socialist audit report reveals fiscal deficit



KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist, led by Madhav Kumar Nepal, has released its annual audit report for the fiscal year 2023/24, revealing a financial deficit of Rs 3,287,164.

Chief accountant Khemraj Paudel presented the report on Monday at the party’s central office in Aloknagar.

The party’s income for the fiscal year stood at Rs 42,453,691, while its expenditure totaled Rs 45,740,854.

The report includes detailed expenses from major activities, such as the Mechi-Mahakali Jagran campaign conducted in September 2023, the 10th National General Convention held in May 2024, and this year’s local-level by-elections.

Paudel stated that membership dues, publication sales, fees from general convention representatives, and regular support remain the party’s primary sources of income.
