Gold price drops by Rs 2,000 per tola



KATHMANDU: The price of gold in the domestic market fell by Rs 2,000 per tola on Friday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, fine gold has been fixed at Rs 258,400 per tola for the day. The precious metal was traded at Rs 260,400 per tola on the previous trading day.

Gold had reached an all-time high of Rs 260,700 per tola on Monday, the highest level recorded so far in the domestic market.

Meanwhile, the price of silver also declined by Rs 75 per tola. Silver, which was traded at Rs 4,085 per tola a day earlier, has dropped to Rs 4,005 per tola on Friday.

The silver price recorded on the previous day was also the highest ever in the local market.
