Gen-Z denies disrupting UML program in Simara, alleges assault by party members

BARA: Representatives of the Gen-Z movement have denied allegations that they attempted to disrupt a CPN-UML program in Simara on Wednesday.

Shiva Yadav, who identifies himself as the Gen-Z coordinator for Madhesh Province, said his group had no intention of interfering with the UML event.

“Gen-Z had scheduled its own program at Simara Chowk on Wednesday. Any claims that we tried to disrupt UML activities are false. On the contrary, it was UML members who insulted, mistreated, and even assaulted our coordinators, including Samrat Upadhyay,” Yadav said.

He further criticized the spread of what he described as “wrong information,” saying it aimed to tarnish the image of the Gen-Z movement. Yadav demanded legal action against the UML members involved in the attack and called on the government to ensure similar interference does not occur in Madhesh Province.
