Kathmandu’s TU constituent campuses see mixed wins in FSU elections



KATHMANDU: The results of the Free Student Union (FSU) elections for Tribhuvan University (TU) constituent campuses in the Kathmandu Valley have been officially announced.

Candidates from the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) emerged victorious at the Nepal Commerce Campus and Mahendra Ratna Campus, Tahachal. Bishal Rokaha and Ishwor Thapa have been elected as the Presidents of the respective campuses, according to ANNFSU Vice-President Narayan Gharti.

In a similar vein, the Nepal Student Union (NSU) secured victories at Thapathali Engineering and Maharajgunj Nursing Campuses. Prahlad Khadka and Bindu Pokharel were elected as Presidents in Thapathali and Maharajgunj, as confirmed by NSU spokesperson Suraj Sejuwal.

The All Nepal National Free Students Union (Revolutionary) (ANNISU-R) claimed wins at the Public Administration Campus and Sanothimi Multipurpose Campus in Bhaktapur. Aniket Tiwari and Narendra Thagunna were elected Presidents of these campuses, according to ANNISU (R) General Secretary Roshan Magar.

Meanwhile, independent candidate Soyam Shrestha was elected as the President at Pulchowk Engineering Campus.

Elections were held on Tuesday across 38 constituent campuses and 250 affiliated campuses nationwide.
