Two parliamentary committees to meet today

KATHMANDU: Two committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today to discuss legislative and policy matters.

The Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee will convene at 8 am at Singha Durbar. The meeting’s agenda includes deliberations on Sections 9 and 72 related to the Ministry of Forest and Environment concerning a bill to amend certain Nepal Acts.

Following this, the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee will meet at 10:45 am. The committee plans to hold discussions with the Ministry of Urban Development, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development have been summoned to participate.

These meetings are part of the ongoing efforts to review and update legal frameworks and discuss pertinent issues related to urban development in the country.
