KATHMANDU: Shankar Pokhrel has emerged victorious in the race for general secretary of CPN-UML, according to the results of the party’s internal election.
Pokhrel received 1,228 votes, while his closest competitor, Surendra Pandey, secured 999 votes.
In the same election, KP Sharma Oli has already won the post of party chairperson by a large margin.
