Election Commission rejects claims of voter data leak, says system fully secure



KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has clarified that its website and voter database remain fully secure, dismissing media and social-media reports claiming that voter details had been leaked from its system.

Issuing a statement on Monday, EC spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that no unauthorized person can access the system, and reports suggesting otherwise are false and misleading.

The Commission assured the public that all confidential and sensitive personal data are completely protected, urging citizens not to believe misinformation or fabricated claims circulating online.
