Renovation work begins at Finance Ministry after Gen-Z protests

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has begun repainting and renovation work following damage caused during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9.

The demonstrations, which turned violent, left several key government offices in Singha Durbar vandalized, including the Finance Ministry, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. Several other administrative buildings also suffered arson and destruction.

Authorities have now started cleaning and repainting the affected ministries and offices to restore them to operation.
