ALASKA: Russian President Vladimir Putin’s bodyguards reportedly carried a special “poop suitcase” to collect and transport his fecal waste during the Alaska summit with U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, according to The Express US.
The unusual precaution is said to be aimed at preventing foreign intelligence agencies from obtaining information about the Russian leader’s health. “Putin’s bodyguards collect his fecal waste and bring it back to Russia whenever he travels abroad,” the outlet reported.
Strict security protocols surrounded the Russian president throughout the meeting. He was flanked by bodyguards, and multiple measures were taken to protect both him and sensitive Russian intelligence.
Citing investigative journalists Regis Gente and Mikhail Rubin in the French publication Paris Match, The Express US noted that members of Russia’s Federal Protective Service (FPS) have long been tasked with collecting Putin’s bodily waste, sealing it in special bags, and carrying it in dedicated briefcases.
The practice reportedly dates back years, including during Putin’s 2017 visit to France. Journalist Farida Rustamova also reported that similar measures were taken during his trip to Vienna, where he used a portable toilet. According to one source, the president has followed this routine since he first assumed power in 1999.
The revelations come amid ongoing speculation about the 72-year-old leader’s health. Observers have noted Putin displaying unusual movements in public, such as leg jerks during a press conference in Astana last November. Dr. Bob Berookhim suggested these symptoms could indicate a neurological condition such as Parkinson’s disease, The Express US reported.
Putin was also seen twitching in his seat while meeting Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in 2023. In 2022, the Kremlin dismissed rumors circulated by the General SVR Telegram channel that claimed Putin had soiled himself after a fall.
