Two killed, three injured in road accident at Budhanilkantha



KATHMANDU: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, late Sunday night.

According to Kathmandu District Police, the accident occurred around 1 am at Budhanilkantha-7 when a scooter traveling from Golfutar toward Narayansthan collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Police said the scooter (Bagmati Province 02-041 Pa 6819) and the motorcycle (Province 3-02-002 Pa 572) crashed near Narayansthan, resulting in the deaths of two men.

One of the deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Bhola Thapa of Jandaha, Siraha. The other victim, estimated to be around 35 years old, has not yet been formally identified, and police are searching for his relatives.

Three others sustained injuries in the crash and are receiving treatment, police confirmed.
