High-Level Good Governance Commission to hold first meeting today



KATHMANDU: The High-Level Good Governance Commission, chaired by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, is scheduled to hold its first meeting today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

According to PM Oli’s personal secretary Roshni Meche, the meeting will focus on current efforts and potential reforms aimed at strengthening good governance in the country.

The Cabinet meeting on April 20 had decided to form the commission under the leadership of Prime Minister Oli.

The commission includes Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Kumar Chaurasiya, among others.

The commission is expected to play a key role in setting priorities and guiding policy reforms to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public administration.
