FIfth PCC meeting of Bagmati Province concludes making 23 different decisions



KATHMANDU: The fifth meeting of the Provincial Coordination Council of the Bagmati Province concluded on Friday making 23 different decisions. The two-day meeting was organized in Hetauda from January 16.

The meeting decided to recommend various decisions including providing ownership of Ranju ropeway, passing the Electricity Bill soon and providing a budget for the reconstruction of disaster-hit areas to the National Coordination Council.

Similarly, the decision to make special legal arrangements for the reconstruction of heritages having archeological importance by amending the Public Procurement Act was also recommended as well as the meeting decided to provide authority of issuing climbing permits for mountains of 6,000-7,000 meters and collecting royalties to the province.

The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Bahadur Singh Lama, where ministers, people’s representatives of local levels, chief of the District Coordination Committee, among others were present.

On the occasion, Secretary of the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, Bed Prasad Bhandari, presented a working paper on employee management at the Province and Local Levels while Secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law Ministry, Purna Bahadur Darjee, on Disaster Management and Its Challenges, and Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, Krishna Mainali, on Intergovernmental Fiscal Transfer and Revenue Distribution.
