NRB releases today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today, setting the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 141.70 and the selling rate at Rs 142.30.

Similarly, the Euro is being bought at Rs 164.67 and sold at Rs 165.37, while the British Pound Sterling stands at Rs 186.65 for buying and Rs 187.44 for selling. The Swiss Franc is priced at Rs 178.47 for buying and Rs 179.23 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian Dollar is set at Rs 92.63 (buying) and Rs 93.02 (selling), the Canadian Dollar at Rs 101.04 and Rs 101.47, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 109.14 and Rs 109.60, respectively.

For Asian currencies, the rate for 10 Japanese yen is fixed at Rs 9.17 (buying) and Rs 9.21 (selling), while one Chinese yuan is priced at Rs 19.96 and Rs 20.04. One Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 37.78 for buying and Rs 37.94 for selling, and the Qatari riyal at Rs 38.88 and Rs 39.04.

The Thai baht is set at Rs 4.37 (buying) and Rs 4.39 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 38.58 and Rs 38.75, the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 34.29 and Rs 34.43, and 100 South Korean won at Rs 9.78 and Rs 9.82. The Swedish kronor is listed at Rs 15.06 for buying, while the Danish kronor stands at Rs 22.05 for buying and Rs 22.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the buying rate of the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 18.23 and the selling rate at Rs 18.31. The Kuwaiti dinar is priced at Rs 461.74 (buying) and Rs 463.70 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 375.84 and Rs 377.43, and the Omani rial at Rs 368.05 and Rs 369.61. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank noted that the rates may be revised at any time if necessary, and commercial banks may quote slightly different rates. Updated figures are available on the Nepal Rastra Bank’s official website.
