NRB publishes Sunday’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for Sunday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar stands at Rs 139.79, while the selling rate is Rs 140.39.

The buying rate for one euro is Rs 163.39, and the selling rate is Rs 164.09. Similarly, the buying and selling rates for one UK pound sterling are Rs 189.57 and Rs 190.38, respectively. For the Swiss franc, the buying rate is Rs 173.47, and the selling rate is Rs 174.21.

One Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 91.05 and sold at Rs 91.44. The Canadian dollar’s buying rate is Rs 101.37, with the selling rate at Rs 101.80. Likewise, one Singapore dollar is being exchanged at a buying rate of Rs 109.01 and a selling rate of Rs 109.48.

For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 units is Rs 9.51 and the selling rate is Rs 9.55. The Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 19.47 and sold at Rs 19.56.

One Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 37.26 for buying and Rs 37.42 for selling, while one Qatari riyal is exchanged at Rs 38.35 (buying) and Rs 38.52 (selling).

The Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.31, and the UAE dirham at Rs 38.06, with selling rates at Rs 38.22. The Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 33.18 for buying and Rs 33.32 for selling.

The rate for 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.07 for buying and Rs 10.11 for selling. Similarly, the Swedish kronor is being exchanged at Rs 14.62 (buying) and Rs 14.69 (selling), while the Danish krone is at Rs 21.89 and Rs 21.99, respectively.

The buying and selling rates for one Hong Kong dollar are Rs 17.88 and Rs 17.95, respectively. The Kuwaiti dinar is being exchanged at Rs 457.59 for buying and Rs 459.56 for selling. The Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 370.77 and a selling rate of Rs 372.36. The Omani rial stands at Rs 363.09 (buying) and Rs 364.64 (selling).

For the Indian currency, the exchange rate for one hundred Indian rupees is set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank has noted that these exchange rates may be revised at any time, as needed. Rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s official website.
