Indian Foreign Secretary to arrive in Nepal today



KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to arrive in Nepal today (Sunday) for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Nepal’s Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai.

According to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, the visit aims to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship between the two neighboring countries.

During his stay, Misri is expected to hold high-level discussions with Nepali government officials on enhancing cooperation in areas such as trade, security, water resources, infrastructure, and regional connectivity.

The visit comes amid ongoing efforts to deepen economic and strategic ties, with both sides expressing interest in expanding collaboration on climate change, energy, and cultural exchange.

The Indian Embassy highlighted the visit as a key opportunity to build on mutual trust and explore new avenues for partnership, reflecting the commitment of both governments to maintaining close and friendly relations.
