Today’s foreign currency exchange rates

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the official exchange rates for foreign currencies for today.

As per the rates published by the central bank, the buying rate for the US dollar is Rs 136.52 and the selling rate is Rs 137.12. The European Euro is set at Rs 152.92 for buying and Rs 153.59 for selling, while the UK Pound Sterling is valued at Rs 181.50 and Rs 182.30, respectively. The Swiss Franc has been fixed at Rs 163.11 for buying and Rs 163.82 for selling.

Similarly, the Australian Dollar is priced at Rs 87.60 (buying) and Rs 87.99 (selling), the Canadian Dollar at Rs 97.77 and Rs 98.20, and the Singapore Dollar at Rs 15.12 and Rs 15.59.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese Yen is Rs 9.38 and the selling rate is Rs 9.42. One Chinese Yuan is exchanged at Rs 18.95 for buying and Rs 19.30 for selling, while one Saudi Arabian Riyal is fixed at Rs 36.40 and Rs 36.56, and one Qatari Riyal at Rs 37.46 and Rs 37.62, respectively.

The central bank has also set the exchange rate for one Thai Baht at Rs 4.10 (buying) and Rs 4.12 (selling), for one UAE Dirham at Rs 37.17 and Rs 37.33, and for one Malaysian Ringgit at Rs 31.78 and Rs 31.92.

Likewise, one hundred South Korean Won is valued at Rs 9.78 for buying and Rs 9.82 for selling. The Swedish Krona stands at Rs 13.88 (buying) and Rs 14.05 (selling), while the Danish Krona is set at Rs 20.50 and Rs 20.59.

According to NRB, one Hong Kong Dollar is exchanged at Rs 17.47 for buying and Rs 17.55 for selling. Among Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti Dinar has been fixed at Rs 444.17 (buying) and Rs 446.12 (selling), the Bahraini Dinar at Rs 362.15 and Rs 363.74, and the Omani Rial at Rs 354.62 and Rs 356.18. The rate for 100 Indian rupees stands at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

NRB has noted that these exchange rates are subject to change as necessary. It has also clarified that commercial banks may offer slightly different rates, and the latest updates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
