KATHMANDU:  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed concern over the reported mistreatment of Nepali students in Odisha, India.

Following the viral circulation of a video showing Nepali students being forcibly removed from their hostel, the prime minister stated that diplomatic efforts are underway to resolve the issue.

“The media and social media have reported that a Nepali student passed away at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, and that Nepali students were forcibly evicted from their hostel,” Oli said. “The government is actively engaging through diplomatic channels to address the situation.”
