KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the influence of a westerly low-pressure system.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, weather across the country is partially to generally cloudy.

During the day, Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, and Bagmati Province will experience partial cloud cover, while the rest of the regions will have predominantly clear skies. At night, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province are expected to remain partially cloudy, with mostly clear skies in other areas.

Light to moderate rainfall is likely in some locations of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, with chances of light rain in a few hilly areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Additionally, light snowfall is expected in many high-altitude and mountainous areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, in a few high-altitude locations of Gandaki Province, and in isolated high-altitude areas of other provinces. The department has urged caution as snowfall could impact daily life, health, transportation, tourism, and air travel.
