Two killed in motorcycle accident in Makwanpur



MAKWANPUR: Two people were killed in a motorcycle accident on the Bundalkhola bridge, located on the border of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-5 and Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-1 in Makawanpur.

According to the Makawanpur District Police Office, the motorcycle (Ba Pra 03-005 Pa 7980) plunged 50 feet down into the Bundalkhola early this morning.

The crash killed the rider, 39-year-old Bir Bahadur Gurung of Chowki Tole, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-2, and the passenger, 35-year-old Chandra Bahadur Gurung of Kawasoti Municipality-13, East Nawalparasi, who had also been residing in Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City-2.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson for the District Police Office, said the bodies have been taken to Hetauda Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
