Dry landslide blocks Hetauda–Kathmandu road



BAGMATI: A dry landslide has disrupted traffic along the Hetauda–Kathmandu road section.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal, spokesperson for the Makwanpur District Police Office, the landslide occurred around 9:30 a.m. today at Jyamire in Indrasarowar Rural Municipality–3, obstructing the Hetauda–Fakhel–Dakshinkali–Kathmandu route. Transportation services in the area have come to a complete halt.

Similarly, traffic along the Tribhuvan Highway has also been blocked after rocks and trees fell near Lamidanda in Bhimphedi Rural Municipality–9, Makwanpur. Police said excavators have been mobilized at both locations to clear the debris and reopen the road.
