Former UML Central Council member Dipendra Kunwar joins Maoist Centre



KATHMANDU: Dipendra Kunwar, a former Central Council member of the ruling CPN-UML, has joined the CPN (Maoist Centre). Kunwar, from Kuwakot in Baitadi, formally entered the Maoist Centre on Saturday.

Active in the Maoist movement since the armed conflict period, Kunwar had aligned with the UML following party splits.

He was welcomed by Maoist Centre chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at his residence in Khumaltar.

The party’s Baitadi in-charge, Narendra Kunwar, facilitated the reunion, according to Prachanda’s secretariat.
