Interim order issued against arrest of Journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak

KATHMANDU: The Patan High Court has issued a short-term interim order not to arrest journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak.

A single bench of Judge Rishi Raj Bhandari issued the interim order on Monday while hearing a petition seeking a restraining order. The court has also summoned both parties for a discussion on the matter on June 19.

Pathak had moved the court seeking to halt the arrest warrant issued against him in connection with a cybercrime case.

The arrest warrant was issued after Pathak’s YouTube channel aired a report claiming that Jayveer Deuba, son of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, had purchased the Hilton Hotel.
