T20 series: Nepal to face Netherlands today



KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team will take on the Netherlands in its first match of the triangular T20 series on Monday.

Nepal, currently on a tour of Scotland, will begin its campaign against the Netherlands.

In the opening match of the series on Sunday, host Scotland defeated the Netherlands by 39 runs. Both Nepal and the Netherlands will be looking to register their first win in today’s clash.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 16-member squad led by captain Rohit Paudel. Newcomers Kiran Thagunna, Lokesh Bam, and Rupesh Singh have been included in the squad, replacing injured players Sompal Kami and Gulshan Jha, who were ruled out after sustaining injuries during practice.

The match between Nepal and the Netherlands is scheduled to begin at 7:45 PM (Nepali time) on Monday.

This T20 series follows the conclusion of the ICC World Cup League-2 series in Scotland, where Nepal won three out of four matches.
