Rabi Lamichhane’s Surya Darshan case hearing deferred again

POKHARA: The hearing on the Surya Darshan Cooperative fraud case at the Pokhara High Court remained inconclusive for the second consecutive day.

The case against Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane and others has been kept under review.

Earlier, the Kaski District Court had ordered Lamichhane’s release on bail of Rs 6 million. In response, Lamichhane filed a petition at the High Court, arguing that the bail amount was excessive.

At the same time, the government attorney submitted a separate petition to the High Court, demanding that Lamichhane be held in custody. The court is currently reviewing both petitions.
