Prachanda launches Maoist’s public awareness campaign along mid-hill highway



BAITADI: CPN-Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has officially launched the ‘Maoists with the People: Mid-Hill Highway Public Awareness Campaign’, aiming to increase public engagement and party outreach along the strategic Mid-Hill Highway corridor.

The campaign was inaugurated on Friday in Baitadi, where Dahal unveiled a monument constructed by Patan Municipality.

Following the inauguration, he addressed a gathering organized by the party, signaling the formal start of the awareness drive, which will run until June.

According to Dahal’s secretariat, the campaign will feature coordinated efforts from all provincial and district committees of the party.

Each provincial committee will host a public meeting in one location along the highway, while district coordination committees will conduct public dialogue programs.

As per the schedule released by the Maoist Center, a public meeting took place in Patan, Baitadi on Friday, with a public dialogue organized in Dipayal, Doti.

Additional events are lined up in Mangalsen, Achham on Saturday; Dailekh district headquarters on Sunday; and Khalanga, Jajarkot on Monday.

The campaign aims to reinforce the party’s presence in rural areas, address local concerns, and mobilize public support ahead of future political strategies.
