Birgunj Customs Office collects over Rs 124 billion in revenue



BIRGUNJ: The Birgunj Customs Office has collected a total of Rs 124.7 billion in revenue during the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

According to the office, monthly revenue collections were as follows: Rs 12.15 billion in Shrawan, Rs 13.42 billion in Bhadra, Rs 13.47 billion in Asoj, Rs 11.10 billion in Kartik, Rs 14.40 billion in Mangsir, Rs 15.47 billion in Poush, and Rs 14.44 billion in Magh.

Revenue collections in the following months continued steadily, with Rs 14.63 billion and Rs 15.47 billion collected in Falgun and Chaitra, respectively.

Birgunj Customs is one of the country’s major revenue-generating entry points, handling a significant portion of Nepal’s trade and import volume.
