Chief Minister Yadav accuses some parties of pretending to be pro-Madhesh

KATHMANDU:  Madhesh Province Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav has accused several political parties of falsely portraying themselves as pro-Madhes forces.

In his address to the people of the province on Saturday, Chief Minister Yadav alleged that parties such as the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) and the Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) have been making false claims about being Madhes-oriented.

Simply declaring oneself pro-Madhesh does not make it true, he said, adding that such commitments must be proven through actions and governance.

Yadav also stated that with the issue of government formation in Madhes Province currently under consideration at the court, staging protests over the matter holds no meaning.

He urged the protesting parties to end their agitation and return to dialogue, expressing trust in the judicial process.

He said he has no rivalry with any political party and that his priorities remain poverty reduction, peace and security, and the prosperity of Madhes.

The Chief Minister further alleged that the ongoing protests organized by the opposition in the province involve interference from India. He added that attempts are being made to disrupt peace and security in Madhes Province.
