Prachanda on possible unity with UML: Only possible if KP Oli steps aside

DHADING: CPN (Maoist Centre) Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has spoken about the possibility of party unity with CPN-UML during a meet-up program in Benighat-Rorang, Dhading.

Addressing party leaders and youth, Prachanda emphasized that the upcoming elections would be the Maoist party’s main agenda.

“Now, the line of the Maoist party is elections,” he said. “After Tihar, the process of uniting with the parties within the socialist front will move forward.”

On the prospect of unity with UML, he said, “As long as KP Oli is leading, there will be no unity. But if his leadership ends, the door for unity can open.”

During the discussion with youth and party leaders, Prachanda also noted that the younger generation is increasingly understanding and appreciating the party’s ideology and guidance.

“My Gen-Z youth are also interacting with me. They are beginning to see that the Maoist path is correct,” he added.

He instructed party leaders and activists to prepare systematically for the upcoming elections.
