KATHMANDU: Nepal’s national cricket team captain Rohit Paudel has said that his side want to defeat Oman today to win the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifier trophy.
Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated clash, Paudel described Wednesday’s encounter as a “do-or-die” match, emphasizing that both teams are determined to finish on top.
Nepal and Oman have both remained unbeaten in the tournament, securing six points each from the group and Super Six stages. Oman currently leads the table on net run rate, with Nepal sitting in second place.
“To win the trophy, we have to beat Oman. For us, this match is like a final,” Paudel said. “Everyone in the team is excited and hungry for victory.”
Paudel added that the players are fully motivated and aware of the stakes. “This is a do-or-die game, and we are ready to give everything on the field,” he said.
