Birgunj schools shift to morning classes amid scorching heat



BIRGUNJ: In response to the ongoing heatwave, schools in Birgunj Metropolitan City have shifted to morning classes starting Thursday.

According to the metropolitan office, both community and institutional schools will now conduct classes from 6 am until further notice.

The decision was made to safeguard students from the extreme daytime temperatures.

Birgunj is home to 92 community and 138 private schools. Among the community institutions, there are 21 secondary schools, 15 basic schools, 55 primary schools, and one pre-primary school.
