Three parliamentary committees to convene today in Singha Durbar

KATHMANDU: Three key committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today to discuss a range of legislative and oversight matters.

The Committee on the Monitoring and Evaluation of Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies and Obligations of the State will hold its meeting at 8:15 am in the meeting room of the Infrastructure Development Committee at Singha Durbar.

The agenda includes a review of the progress of the Federal Parliament Building currently under construction, along with discussion on other pressing issues.

Later, at 11 am, the Federal Enablement and National Concerns Committee is set to meet at Singha Durbar. This meeting will focus on evaluating the committee’s work plan, including future plans for field monitoring and stakeholder interaction.

In the afternoon, the Legislative Management Committee will convene at 1 pm, also at Singha Durbar, to deliberate on the draft report of the Ships (Operation and Management) Bill-2024.

All three meetings are expected to contribute to legislative progress and reinforce parliamentary oversight on federal matters.
