One arrested with cannabis at Tribhuvan International Airport



KATHMANDU: Authorities at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) apprehended a man in possession of 6.97 kilograms of cannabis last night.

The suspect, a 27-year-old Indian national, had arrived in Nepal aboard a Thai Air flight. According to TIA Security Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police Somendra Singh Rathaur, the narcotics were discovered during a routine luggage inspection upon arrival.

The individual has been handed over to the Narcotics Control Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation.
