Westerly and local winds affecting Nepal’s weather



KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing partial influence from westerly and local winds.

The weather in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces is expected to be partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will remain mostly fair today.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, light rainfall is occurring in one or two places in Sudurpaschim Province.

There is also a possibility of light rainfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some hilly areas across the country.

Additionally, the Division has forecast light snowfall in a few areas of the high-hilly and mountainous regions.

Today, the weather in the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim, Lumbini, and Karnali Provinces is likely to be partly to generally cloudy, while the rest of the country will experience mostly clear skies.

Light rainfall with thunder and lightning is expected in a few hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as in isolated locations in the hilly areas of other provinces.

Light snowfall is anticipated in certain high-hill and mountainous regions of Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and other provinces.
