Lumbini Province declares public holiday today for Maghe Sankranti and Maghi Festival

KATHMANDU: The Lumbini Province Government has announced a public holiday today, marking the celebration of Maghe Sankranti and the Maghi festival.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law confirmed that the public holiday applies to the entire province.

A meeting of the Lumbini Province Government Council of Ministers, held on April 2, 2024, made the official decision to observe the public holiday on Magh 2 in celebration of Maghe Sankranti and Maghi.
