Finance Ministry establishes focal unit to strengthen coordination with foreign investors

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Finance has set up a dedicated focal unit to enhance coordination with foreign investors and international development finance institutions.

The unit, created under the Ministry’s International Economic Cooperation Division, will work closely with other ministries and concerned agencies on matters related to foreign investment.

According to Ministry spokesperson Tank Prasad Pandey, the Focal Unit will serve as the central coordination point for issues related to banking, taxation, and other procedures directly linked to foreign investors.

The ministry expects the unit to play a crucial role in removing bottlenecks in investment processes and ensuring timely service delivery, ultimately improving Nepal’s investment climate.
