Two dead, 14 injured in Baglung jeep accident



BAGLUNG: Two people died and 14 others were injured in a jeep accident in Dhorpatan Municipality-5, Baglung, last evening.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as 70-year-old Nar Bahadur Karki and 75-year-old Bhim Kumari Budha, both residents of Dhorpatan Municipality-2.

The condition of driver Govinda Thapa and passenger 18-year-old Lumbini Mahat is reported to be critical. All the injured are receiving treatment at Burtibang Provincial Hospital.

The accident occurred when the jeep (Lu Pra 01001 Cha 1775), en route from Burtibang Bazaar to Chaur in Dhorpatan-5, veered off the road and plunged about 60 meters. The vehicle was carrying 16 people, including the driver.
